    "I would have given a 5 rating, except for the shuttle service, which I am beginning to dread. On the way out the driver took both hands off the wheel while driving, to fill out forms, and was disdainful of my concern. On the way back, the second pickup (after me) was not ready; we waited 10 min, and I was asked if I was willing to wait another 15-20 min (which I was not). The burden was on me to return to Motowerks rather than waiting further. This was all very inconvenient and annoying and could have been avoided since this pickup had a record of inconsistency and I had already said I wanted the latest possible pickup.     "The *people* who worked with me and on my Mini were "truly exceptional". They noticed problems I had not noticed with my car. For the problems I had noticed, they were well ahead of me on understanding what the likely causes were. The internal systems--both computer and person-to-person--were a bit less well oiled. Communication between the van pool and service was weak enough to cause a bit of confusion. The people, once again, were aware of the problem and apologized for it...in one case, in advance. My biggest problem, which my service advisor may have been able to clear up, is that my wife's name and 'phone number are first on all of your internal records. This is a problem because I am the primary driver of the car (she bought it for me) but she keeps getting the mailings, e'mail, and telephone calls.     "I expected the service to be under warranty but was charged the advertised price plus $5. I received a mailing dated January 9 to bring in the vehicle for maintainance. I called for an appt and the first opening that fit my work schedule (and your availability) was February 2. I was told that my warranty had expired on January 12 and I would have to pay full price. Later, I saw a sign in the dealership advertising the service for $5 less than I paid. I had a similar experience last year but, after some discussion, they agreed to pay for the service.     "the result of driving 1 hour to leave my car and then another hour returning home - then two more hours retrieveing my car and being told nothing is wrong is a bit frustrating. It is nothing against your people... it's a fault against the electronics of the Mini. Spedo can't be repaired - it's normal. Although engine light went on it's ok. The computer was reset...     "The score is not a reflection of the attitude of either Brady or the shuttle driver. Both were professional and courteous. I brought the car in because it was due for "service". I was not expecting an $85 charge just to inspect the vehicle (I can get that free at any mechanic or other service facility), then before even inspecting the vehicle it was recommended I get a brake flush, and oil change and new rear brake pads.     Dealer Response: Our apologies if the service process was not communicated properly. Upon arrival the key is read by MINI's system which gives us a list of the cars needs at that time. Thus the estimate provided, as is to all customers, based off what the car itself is calling for at that time. This is our standard procedure to provide the customer with that info per manufacturer as well so that the owner can keep the MINI up to date and properly maintained.     "We have had a persistent documented problem with our mini's throttle freezing in below zero temperature. We specifically drove the car to the dealer to get this three year on going issue resolved only to be told that they needed evidence for a documented engineering flaw. We requested they hook the car up to the computer before starting it in order to not lose any records that were stored. Fortunately the car recalled the incident and e team was able to fix it. My concern is that this has been a concern we have raised and brout our vehicle in for over the past two winters and yet again, no one believed us. However my appointment ran over an hour and a half over what I was quoted. That was a bit much. My oil was changed but my monitor wasn't reset.
