1. Install the four anchor points by pushing the screws of the sliding blocks up through the bottom holes of the roof box.
2. Next, fit the clamps plates into the molds and thread them loosely onto the sliding block screws.
3. Then, lift the MINI roof box onto the roof carrier rails. This will be easier if you have someone to help you lift and place the box.
4. Slide the box to the left side of the carrier rails until both left-hand sliding blocks are in front of the carrier rails ends.
5. Check to make sure that you can still open the rear hatch.
6. Thread both of the left sliding blocks into the carrier rails and slide the MINI roof box to the opposite side of the carrier rails.
7. Position both right-hand sliding blocks in front of the right-side carrier rails ends and thread them into the rails.
8. Slide the MINI roof box along the carrier rails toward the center of the roof and make sure that it is properly aligned.
9. Open the roof box from one side and tighten all four clamping bolts on top of the sliding blocks.

Your MINI Cooper roof box can be opened from either side for easy loading. Make sure to evenly distribute the weight within the roof box. MINI Cooper load limits should always be followed. Use the lashing and tension belts to tie down your cargo so the load won’t shift when you drive.
