MINI Cooper Maintenance Schedule

Mechanic Going Over Car Checklist

If you’re following the MINI Cooper maintenance schedule, you’ll pay a visit to our Golden Valley service center once every 5,000 miles or so, or roughly twice per year. Although there’s no harm in coming in more often, your own unique MINI Cooper service schedule and costs will be precisely determined by your Condition Based Service (CBS) system. This technology automatically assesses your oil life–among other factors–and displays a warning on your dashboard whenever it’s time to schedule service.

Complimentary Maintenance with MINI

When you purchase a new MINI Cooper, you enjoy complimentary standard maintenance for up to three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. That’s right: your first MINI service appointment will be on the house. Here’s what’s covered:

  • Engine Oil Services
  • Inspection Services
  • Brake Fluid Service
  • Engine Air Filter
  • Cabin Air Microfilter

While the MINI warranty will probably not reduce your MINI Cooper service costs, it will eliminate the likelihood of expensive repairs during your first four years or 50,000 miles of ownership. Extended warranty options are available, so contact Motorwerks MINI to learn more if you’re located near Golden Valley or Minneapolis.

How Much Does MINI Cooper Service Cost?

With a new vehicle, you’ll enjoy complimentary maintenance for the first three years (or 36,000 miles) of ownership. The only MINI Cooper service costs you’ll have to worry about are those that fall outside of your recommended maintenance schedule. Following this initial period, you can expect to spend between $150 and $190 on MINI Cooper oil service and the associated tasks.

Caring for a MINI is often much easier than caring for other subcompacts. Check out our MINI Cooper vs. Fiat comparison to find out exactly what we mean.
